| In each stage of the Contest, MakeaStar.com's Industry Voting Panel, along with music Fans from all over the world, cast their votes for the songs in each Contest. Unlike most other music sites, at MakeaStar.com Fans and the Industry have equal power in selecting their favorite songs. Votes from listeners determine 50% of the total score and music industry votes determine the other 50%. A song which outscores its opponent at the end of the week, will proceed to the next round. The
