"Just
wanted to say I'm very grateful for all the
efforts and outstanding valuable service provided.
The reviews have been very helpful with careful
consideration and good advice. MakeAStar.com is
definitely a star outshining. Keep up the awesome
service.

"The
equal voting power being given to fans and the
industry is great.
It's a great way to see how both respond. It's
like American idol on the internet".

"The
MakeaStar.com's Industry
review service and contest are a
wonderful resource and really, a good gut check.
You're always going to have friends and family
tell you your tune is great, even if it stinks. To
put it up for someone in the biz to judge, you
know you're getting an honest opinion from someone
who knows. The equal contest
voting power being given to Fans and the Industry
is
important. It helps the song writer/band who may
just be starting out and may not have as big a fan
base as a more established songwriter/band. It
makes the song itself more important, as opposed
to who has the bigger mailing list they can turn
to for votes. Plus, it's informative to see how
the industry voted.

"The
review service
is
wonderful. I really find MakeaStar.com’s review
service to be fair, unbiased and very
professional. Not to mention very helpful in
identifying areas that an artist can improve upon
as it pertains to perfecting their craft.
I would also like to
thank you for providing such a wonderful venue for
aspiring singers, bands and song-writers to
display their talents and receive the
acknowledgment that our efforts are not in vain.
MakeaStar.com's song
contest is a very fair and ethical contest. And
I have found it to be the best contest that one
can participate in on the inter-net. Keep up the
good work".

"The
MakeaStar review
an invaluable service. It’s always nice to get
feedback on your stuff, the good and even the
negative. We may not always agree with everything
they say as we don’t feel that there is
necessarily one way to put together a song but
having an outside opinion helps you think of your
tunes in a different light and challenges you to
do better".

"The
review service is great. I recommend it to
everybody that needs a constructive, honest and
helpful review. It's very well set up, and you get
a precise review of all the elements within the
song. What more can you ask for?"

"Yes.
We still love the reviews! Like we said before,
MAS is the first reviewer we’ve ever had that
we’re really convinced LISTENS to our entire song
in detail! And the explicit reviews are especially
important because they allow us to focus on our
areas of weakness. We think we’re smart enough to
recognize some of those anyway, but the review
forces us to put some urgency on improving our
writing styles and methods. "

"Our
goal was strictly the industry review. We had no
idea at the time of how one would get in the
contest or if there were any qualifications. And
Make A Star raised the bar and the professionalism
by adding the industry’s insight into the voting
process. Unlike comparable sites I vote on."

"I
have submitted my music to many other online
critiquing services and have received “good”
reviews as far as the quality and in depth point
of the review, however I would honestly rate the
quality and in depth detail of the MakeaStar.com’s
industry review as “excellent”!!!"

"MakeaStar.com's
Industry review service is
awesome! Specifically, it allows Indie artists (like
myself!) access to critical feedback on their projects,
which is really important in growing musically and
possibly catering to a larger audience base.
And the equal voting power being given to Fans and
the Industry in my
opinion, this is wicked important. While industry
opinion and positive critical review are highly valued,
it is ultimately the fans that jettison artists' careers
to the next level once production deadlines have been
met. For this reason, I think it's great that MakeaStar's contest gives ample weight to the opinions
of those people who do a lot of listening... not
necessarily professional... and not necessarily
critical."

"All
I really wanted was the review to see if I was
heading in the right direction. This is my first
time so all I have to go on is my review.
However, I feel that it was a fair assessment of
my song. It was broad, expansive, and detailed. I
like that."

"I'm one of the artists on the 3rd compilation
album. I just wanted to say thanks for sending me
some copies of the record. I've listened to it and
it sounds great. I have to say that I was quite
surprised that the quality of the artists is so
good. I've been involved in other compilations and
this is by far the best. So thanks and well done!
Keep up the good work and thanks for letting me be
involved."

"You guys rock!! It
was some of the best constructive criticism or feedback that I've ever
had. After I read my review, I was sort of in a
post-coital haze...the only thing I would suggest would be
allowing the artist to respond to
the review, allowing some sort of artist/industry
dialogue.

"It was a
Excellent Review of my song by your industry Reviewer
that led to 18 rewrites and Ultimately to get this far.
The review I got showed off my strengths and
weaknesses. After 5 min of feeling down about
getting a 7 on a scale of one to 10. I did a ton of
rewrites to try and get the story across a lot
better. It paid off with scores of 9 and higher. If
it wasn't for the review in the first place I
wouldn't be here. I think they hit the nail on the
head. It's fantastic to get a truly objective
opinion on something that you grow attached to.
Sometimes it takes something like this to snap you
out of your head space and allow you to realize it
can be way better with some effort."

"The
reason for sending this email is to congratulate you
on the service and the no nonsense information that
you provide. We recently submitted our first tune
for review and we were pleasantly surprised at the
prompt response, and that's not all we were
surprised about.
Curtis Lowell
provided this review and he has provided 'Settle'
with one of the best critiques they have ever
received.
Personally, I don't automatically place credibility
on someone's comments simply based on their
firsthand experience. From my experience, I've met
far too many experienced professionals who are
unable and/or unwilling to provided un-bias
critiques. Mr. Lowell on the other hand, provided a
honest, detailed critique and we value that greatly.
Over the past several years now we've been attending
as many regional music conferences and festivals as
possible and have had many one on one critiques,
none of which have come close to the valued
information received from Mr. Lowell. Like any
valued resource, we'd like to continue working with
those professionals who are at that level or better.
We realize that critiques will vary among
individuals, each providing valued help from
personal and professional experience. We look
forward to the next opportunity to submit material."
