A sure-fire dose of Rocking Blues
Ten years in the making and comprised of veterans of the New Orleans music scene, the New Orleans Rhythm & Blues Company opened for business in 1998. They released a single in 1999 that became an immediate hit and then released their debut CD of original music in 2000.

The award-winning songwriting team of Brad Burris (longtime bassist for Grammy winner Frankie Ford) and popular, award-winning vocalist Michelle Ploue front this powerhouse band and create a sound all their own called "Rockin’ Blues". Their debut CD, "Identity Crisis", quickly garnered critical praise and widespread fan approval, receiving many awards and accolades including “Song of the Year” and “Female Vocalist of the Year” for “That’s The Mardi Gras!” (Tambalaya Magazine). The song was then signed to Louisiana Red Hot Records and included on the release of “Mardi Gras: The Language of New Orleans”. “Wake Up” was featured in SPIN Magazine and “Get Down To It” was chosen by celebrity judges as one of the “Top 5 On the Web”. In a very short period of time, the New Orleans Rhythm & Blues Company achieved enormous success and quickly became a fixture on the regional music scene.

Experienced concert performers, they have performed at many exciting events including: French Quarter Festival, Mobile Bayfest opening for Travis Tritt, Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival opening for LA LaRoux, Downtown Development District Concert Series, Mandeville Seafood Festival, Bluesberry and Jazz Festival, Abita Fall Fest, Festival of the Lake, Back to the Beach Festival and the Blues and BBQ Tour in Birmingham, AL and Destin, FL opening for Dickey Betts.

They performed at the opening of the New Orleans Saints training camp and at the first home game of the 2000 season. Their music was also broadcast in the LA Superdome during Saints home games. The group was seen by millions of people on Mardi Gras Day in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 leading the Argus parade on the first float as the Captain's band. Their song, "That's The Mardi Gras!” is played on radio and television stations throughout the area. They were the featured weekend band at Harrahs Casino in New Orleans and have appeared at many clubs including Ruby's Roadhouse, Tipitina's, Hard Rock Café and AJ’s in Destin, FL. Their performances are guaranteed to Rock Your Blues Away.
